Frequently asked

Questions, answered.

A few of the questions families ask most often before reaching out.

Do you only work in La Jolla?

+

La Jolla is my specialty, but I serve the greater San Diego coast as well. If you're relocating and not sure where to land yet, that's exactly the kind of conversation I love to have.

What does a relocation specialist actually do?

+

I help families moving from out of state or abroad understand neighborhoods, schools, commutes, and lifestyle before you commit. We can start with virtual tours, neighborhood deep-dives, and a short list tailored to your family — not just a stack of listings.

I'm not ready to buy yet. Is it still okay to reach out?

+

Absolutely. Many of my best client relationships start months — sometimes years — before a purchase. There's no pressure to move quickly. A first conversation costs nothing and clarifies a lot.

How do you charge?

+

For buyers, my fee is typically paid through the transaction and disclosed transparently up front. For sellers, my commission is discussed during our prep consultation. You'll never be surprised by a number.

Can you help with schools and neighborhood research?

+

Yes — this is often where I add the most value. After 20 years as a teacher, I can speak to school cultures and what to look for, and I'll connect you with the right resources to make an informed decision.

Do you work with sellers as well as buyers?

+

Yes. I represent both sides — discreetly marketing homes when sellers value privacy, and guiding buyers from search through closing.
